A transplant to Colorado, Angela
Palermo is a writer, performer, activist and librarian
living in Denver. She has published poems in the LAWCHA
Newsletter, Main Street Free Press, Slam This!, Transgender
Tapestry, Evoke and the Colorado GLBT anthology Focus on
the Fabulous (published by Johnson Books in 2007). She has

with her partner, Sandra Azcarate, on two comic book/graphic
novel projects, Truth and DARE and Moving in Stereo. She
is committed to ending all forms of sexual, domestic and
anti-queer violence, volunteering with the Colorado Anti-Violence
Program (CAVP) and the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program
(RAAP). She also volunteers at Max Fund, Denver’s
only no-kill animal shelter. Unlike some progressive activists,
Angela is eagerly awaiting the fall of Western “civilization.”
In the meantime, she enjoys movies, hiking, walking dogs
and traveling to foreign countries to pose in front of large
jumbles of rocks. |
